Leaving Phakding we cross the river twice through high suspension bridges and arrive at Monjo, the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment. From here we follow the path to reach Namche which is the major trading village in entire Khumbu region. If the weather is clear we can get the first glimpse of Mt Everest. Overnight stay at Mountain lodge.
We spend our entire day in Namche by taking complete rest in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated for trekking destinations. We also visit Sherpa Museum and nearby Khunde Hospital which was set up by Sir Edmund Hillary and Everest View Hotel for sunset view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam. Overnight stay at Mountain lodge.
Today, you will walk along the trail that follows the path to the side of the valley, high above the DudhKoshi River. You will get to see some great views of great peaks of the Khumbu region including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam. As you move downwards, you will pass through several Sherpa villages and teashops and continue the hike to reach Deboche by following a zigzag path. The path offers awesome sights of Rhododendron bushes with beautiful birds and superb mountain scenery. Finally, you will reach Tengboche, which is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region.Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
We descend downhill from Tengboche through the forests and cross ImjaKhola (River). The trail then follows the uphill path to the village of Pangboche which faces Mt. AmaDablam (6,856m). Joy of the trek will be further escalated by the views of mountains, forests, Gompas, rivers etc. Further two hours of walk will take us to our last destination for today. After the continuous walk for seven days, we take a complete rest. We spend our entire day in Pheriche resting in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated to trekking destinations. However, we can also climb up onto the ridge for the view of beautiful Mt. Lhotse and visitImja Valley. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
After leaving Dingboche we trek uphill to Lobuche and pass through a wide valley, Khumbu glacier and several tea houses in between. We walk up through Dungla where we can also find the memorial stupas dedicated to the climbers & trekkers who lost their lives on Everest region over many years. Moreover, the trail also offers magnificent views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Pumari and Mt. Nuptse. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
In order to reach Gorakshep we will pass Lobuche pass and Khumbu glaciers surrounded by astoundingly beautiful snow-clad mountains. We have an opportunity to meet Everest Climbers during spring season on our way to Gorakshep. Unbelievable surrounding beauty provides us a great relief to our tired feet. With the one hours of further walking we will reach at Kalapatthar. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
A very early start is required to reach the Everest Base Camp. It takes several hours as the trail weaves its way through ice pinnacles and crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier. We trek to Everest Base Camp an easy way. However, there are several ups and downs mostly on a glacier path. There is also a lot of meandering on rough terrains. As we reach the base camp, we enjoy the incredible melt patterns and admire the gently rounded ice towers on the upper part of the Khumbu glacier. The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful. We can enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp. Later on get the Charter Helicopter waiting at Kalaptthar to fly back to Kathmandu via Lukla and transfer to hotel for rest & free day. Overnight stay at Hotel.
This is the last day of your visit. You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3 hrs prior to the departure time. The memories that you have shared with us matter a lot.
