Chulu West Peak Climbing offers a great opportunity to fulfill your wish of trekking and summiting peak at naturally blessed. Among the two climbing peaks, Chulu east and the Chulu west; we are now talking about the Chulu west peak standing tall above 6410 meters. During our Chulu west peak climbing journey an excellent view of Annapurna Himalayan ranges with cultural exploration and challenging adventures are on offer.

We begin our journey towards summit of Chulu West as you arrive at Kathmandu, do necessary preparations and drive to Syange on private jeep. From Syange, we start trekking towards beautiful villages of Dharapani, Chame, Pisang and enter into highest valleys of Manang. For proper acclimatization and getting familiar with surroundings, we spend two nights at Manang. From Manang, trekking journey continues towards Ledder and finally we setup a camp at Chulu west base camp. Our professional climbing leaders will provide you with detail instructions of using peak climbing equipments like ice axes, crampons and ropes. In next couple of days, we push for summit of Chulu west walking through glaciers. The climb is straightforward. Previous peak climbing is recommended but not mandatory. We ensure your 100% safety during entire period of the trip. After successful summit attempt, we join the popular route of Annapurna circuit; crossing famous Thorongla pass and pilgrimage site Muktinath to Jomsom. From jomsom we catch a flight to Pokhara and then by bus to Kathmandu.

Most favorable seasons for Chulu West Peak Climbing are during the spring months of March, April, May and the autumn months of September, October and November. During these times the weather will be perfect with very less chances of rain. What to Expect??

The trekking to this peak climbing begins from Besishahar, Bulbule whereby you will reach by some 8-hour drive from Kathmandu, then head up to Chamche, Pisang and reach to Yak Kharka and then continue to base camp and finally reach to Chulu West, you will set up the tents and acclimatize. Once we are ready, you precede a head and make summit and then you will return back from Manang valley and continue to Yak Kharka, Thorong La pass, Muktinath, Jomsom and finally reach at Pokhara.

Day 1: Arrive in TIA, Kathmandu

Are you excited to inward in Nepal? So now it’s time to enjoy the holidays in Nepal with delightful company of UpHimalayas. The representative staff will come to receive you at TIA who will take you in the hotel. Coming up in the hotel we will discuss on the detail itinerary with you. Checking all the necessary things you will go to sleep already. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and trek preparation

On the next day arriving in Kathmandu and not spending time in sightseeing Kathmandu is not possible so the guide will come and take you out in an early morning. As a part of seeing the sights you will roam around Kathmandu Durbar Square which has been destroyed by earthquake and you can compare the things with past and present. You are lucky to outlook the things from destruction to development process so it is essential to keep it in our itinerary. Then, you will start to prepare the trek for next and following days. Day 3: Drive to Syange/ Jagat (1,100m) 8-10 hrs

Completing the sightseeing in Kathmandu today you will take a drive to Sayagy which is situated at an elevation of 1,100 meter and the drive takes 7 to 8 hours of extensive duration but you will get time to have your lunch and some time to spend with nature. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 4: Trek to Dharapani (1,960m) 7-8 hrs

Taking downward movement from Jagat will take you to the lustful forest and river. Then again taking upward movement where you can outlook the Annapurna mountain ranges. Crossing the suspension bridge you will stroll away from Tal and then to Karte. Enjoying the waterfalls and cliffs finally you will arrive in Dharapani which is positioned at the altitude of 1,960 meter. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 5: Trek to Chame (2,710m) 6-7 hrs

From Dharapani you will all set to head towards Chame. On this day you get to view astonishing sceneries of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and IV. The presence of hot spring will set jointly for relaxation. Chame is too situated at an elevation of 2,710 meter and will finish the trek after you enter at Chame. Stay overnight in guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek to Pisang (3,300m) 5-6 hrs

On the following day you will trek Pisang by setting up as soon as you depart from Chame. You will move to put off the trail all through straight up and slight river valley with wide forest. Your ache will be fade away after you experience the sight to the Summit Mountains of Pisang (3,700m). Stay overnight in guesthouse.

Day 7: Trek to Manang (3,500m) 6-7 hrs

On the following day you will trek to Manang after go away from Pisang. Jharsang Khola is designed to be combined to join with Gurung village. It is accepted as Khangsar where you will sense the opulence with small hermitage and prayer flags. Stay overnight in guesthouse.

Day 8: Acclimatization day

On the following day you will use the day as acclimatization since you need some time for you then it is requested to use up the time in ascend preparation to ascend for tomorrow. Thus, you need to follow an instruction given by the guide and be careful while you acquire the preparation class. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 9: Trek to Leder (4,200m) 4-5 hrs

On the following day you will keep on moving further and with acclimatization you will be energized and then proceed all through the Alpine vistas with elevated altitude of forests and vegetations. Taking a certain elevation will take you to Yak Kharka where you will use up to stay. You will love to spend the night in an Alpine meadow land. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 10: Trek to Chulu West Base Camp (4,900m) 4-5 hrs

On the following day you will depart from Leder and head towards Chulu West Base Camp from where you can outlook the sight of Annapurna Himalayas and you will come across the nearby atmosphere as well. Then you will prepare for the camp after strolling for 4 to5 hours of duration. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 11: Trek to Camp I (5,100m) 4-5 hrs

Moving from the camp you will start to trek by carrying out to Camp I which is situated at an elevation of 5,100 meter. The trekking route is technical and be prepare for high altitude. Here, you will delight in the splendor of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri counting Gangapuna and Manaslu. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 12: Acclimatization day

On the following day you will use the day as acclimatization since you need some time for you then it is requested to use up the time in ascend preparation to ascend for tomorrow. Thus, you need to follow an instruction given by the guide and be careful while you acquire the preparation class. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 13: Trek to Camp II (5,530m) 4-5 hrs

On the next day you will move further after getting acclimatized today the trekking trail is not so technical even though you might need to use some ropes and other equipment. Camp II with an elevation of 5,530 meter taking 4 to 5 hours of trekking duration you will ascend head towards and accomplish it finally as a part of acclimatization. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 14: Summit Chulu West (6,419m) and back to Camp I 9-10 hrs

Finally this is the day to ascend the Summit of Chuku West as you are groom enough to approach it. Taking gradual ascending you will climb to Chulu West which is found to be at an elevation of 6,419 meter then enjoying the victory you will snap photos and then return to the Base Camp. Altogether it consumes 9 to 10 hours to accomplish the trek you will return to the Camp I. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 15: Trek to Leder 5-6 hrs

Again on the following day you will leave the camp I and move forward to trek Leder which is situated at an elevation of 4,200 meter taking downward movement. The trekking duration for this day would be 5 to 6 hours and you will end up the trek. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 16: Contingency Day

Technically this day is acknowledged as Reserve day for contingency just in case the weather does not work as per the schedule it does not harm you. But if you are favored by climate then you can head to Thorong Phedi on the same day if not you will stay additional day at Leder. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 17: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,450m) 3-4 hrs

On the following day you will set out for the trek to Thorong Phedi which is hidden at the height of 4,450 meter. Formulating the pass you will set the trail to Thorong Phedi and you will decide even small exciting considerate for trekkers can give you pleasure and you will not realize how 3 to 4 hours has been completed. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 18: Trek to Thorong Pass (5,416m) downward to Muktinatha (3,800m) and Jomsom (2,715m) 7-8 hrs and 2 hrs

On the following day you will depart from Thorong Phedi and proceed to Thorong Pass by covering an elevation of 5,416 meter. After that you will start to prepare trekking in Muktinath and to reach at Muktinath you need to cover 3,800 meter that means you have to take an ascend to it with extensive hours of trekking. Being one o the popular trekking destination and sacred place you can take bathe and ask for the forgiveness for the sins you have committed. Thus, today you will stroll 7 to 8 hours of trekking and 2 hours of drive to Jomsom. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 19: Flight to Pokhara

On the next day you will have your breakfast and then drive towards the airport to catch the flight to Pokhara from Pokhara. Turning up in Pokhara you will check in the hotel then taking lunch you will go for sightseeing in Pokhara which include an amazing places of Pokhara covering Seti Gorge, Mahendra cave, Davis fall, religious temple and if time permit you will engage yourself in boating. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 20: Flight to Kathmandu and farewell dinner

This is the second last day of tour where you will take the flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu and after landing on TIA you will find our representative staffs looking at you and from there you will drive back to hotel in a comfortable vehicle. Arriving at the hotel you will take time to freshen up and enjoy in farewell dinner with refreshing cultural practices. Stay overnight in hotel.

Final Departure!!!!

This is the last day of tour where you will check out from the hotel and our representative staffs will take you to TIA and from TIA you will depart from us after accomplishing the tour with the promise to visit again and thus will return your home town.

Terms & Conditions


Booking

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
  • 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

Refund

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.

We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

Passports & Visas

To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.

Health

Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
