DAY 1: Arrival

Embarking on our journey begins from Kathmandu, the city with the remarkable architecture dated back to 16th Century. Our team representative will welcome you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. Our representative will help you to check in to the hotel. You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. The first arrival day is entirely a break day. In the evening, you can walk around nearby touristic hubs like Thamel and Basantapur Durbar square. Overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Today is a big day for you as you finally get to kick-start your cultural discovery! We have a lot of sightseeing in store for you starting with Kathmandu, the nerve-center of Nepal. It flaunts its rich history and vibrant culture in every possible nook and cranny. Kathmandu Durbar Square is rich with ancient palaces with spectacular art and architecture whereas Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest places for Hindus. We then make our way to the largest stupa in the world: Boudhanath Stupa followed by Swayambhunath Temple. Swayambhunath meaning the “the self-existent” is popular among foreigners owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. No wonder why it’s also called “Monkey Temple”. DAY 3: Trip to Nagarkot [2175m] En-Route Bhaktapur Durbar and Changunarayan Temple Tour |The brick-laden walkways and intricately carved out temples| 1hr

After breakfast we have our trip to Nagarkot, a famous hill station, with an hour and half drive offering views of the Nepalese countryside. En route we have a chance to discover Bhaktapur, City of Devotees and Changunarayan. It is an UNESCO heritage sites, an ancient city that has a rustic charm and is home to the larger population of “Newars” in the valley. The brick-laden walkways, intricately carved out temples give you an insight of times gone by. Built in the 17th century, the Nyatapol Temple still stands strong today. Peek at the 55 embellished windows, as the Golden Gate gives us access to the inner areas of the palace. The numerous pagoda styled temples and monuments that dot the square, gives a perfect example of the expressive and complex design of Nepalese architecture back in ages of the medieval times. We can grab a few locally produced handicrafts before we depart as memorabilia and gifts for our loved ones. The trip will be followed with 2hrs hike from Changunarayan Temple to Nagarkot via Telkot. DAY 4: Nagarkot to Dhulikhel Trek [1600m] Scenic and beautiful hill terrace fields on both sides of the trail || 3-4hrs

As soon as we wake up early in the morning we witness and enjoy the spectacular view of sunrise right from the room balcony. We will have breakfast together and trek down to Dhulikhel which is going to be our first day for trekking. Dhulikhel is an ancient small town situated 30 km away from Kathmandu city. The hiking journey to Dhulikhel is very scenic and beautiful hill terrace fields on both sides of the trail are amazing. It is also a popular panoramic Himalayan view point and old trade route to Tibet for now and then. Overnight camping.

DAY 5: Dhulikhel to Namobuddha [1768m] | Every Buddhist has a dream to visit there | 4-5hrs

As we wake up early in the morning, we will have breakfast together. Today we start our trek to Namobuddha. Namobuddha is one of the most sacred holy pilgrimage sites for Buddhist religious people. Every Budhhist has a dream to visit there once in life time next to the birth place of Buddha. The surrounding environment of the holy monastery will definitely add to our hiking journey peaceful and pleasant. Overnight at Camping.

DAY 6: Namobuddha to Balthali [1650m] | Every Buddhist has a dream to visit there | 4-5hrs

As soon as we are done with breakfast in the morning, we leave the holy site Namobuddha and trek to Balthali Village. En route we can witness amazing hilly landscapes, beautiful farming lands, typical Nepalese houses and local communities. Balthali village is perfect and lovely place to retreat among the trip. The classic journey to countryside of Nepal around the area will make experiencing the real Nepalease culture, tradition and heritage. Overnight at Camping.

DAY 7: Balthali Exploration | Sincere appreciation for simplicity and generosity display by local people

As soon as we are done with breakfast in the morning we go and explore around birds’ habitats of Balthali Village as well as local traditional culture, enjoy watching many birds in that peaceful area with amazing snow-clad views of mountain. A morning hike around the village offers the beautiful trails and villages refresh our senses and will be instilled in us a sincere appreciation for simplicity and generosity display by local people. Moreover, one can witness the life style of villagers, farm lands, cattle, culture and traditions. We return to the camp site take some rest. Overnight at Camping.

DAY 8: Balthali to Lakuri Bhanjyang | Newar Communities and their typical houses |6-7hrs

As we wake up in the morning, we will have breakfast, after we are done with it we leave Balthali and walk towards Lakuri Bhanjyang. En route we can witness amazing hilly landscapes, Newar communities and their typical houses. This day we will be provided to accommodate in adventure tented camp. The wonderful place offers us again breathtaking panorama once to enjoy with snow clad Himalayan peaks from the southern part of the valley. Overnight Camping.

DAY 9: Lakuri Bhanjyang to Lubhu Village | Mixed culture community |6-7hrs

As soon as we are done with breakfast in the morning, we trek to Lubhu village. En route we will have an opportunity to discover the excellent views of surroundings, beautiful hilly landscapes, mix culture community and many more. Continuing our hiking towards Kathmandu via medieval age of a small hamlet Lubhu is well known and beautifully landscaped. Upon reaching Lubhu we wander and look around for a while and drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel in Kathmandu.

DAY 10: Kirtipur Tour | Newari town of located on a hill southwest of Kathmandu |1hr

After having breakfast in the morning, we drive out and visit the off the beaten Newari town of Kirtipur located on a hill southwest of Kathmandu. Here we can discover the traditional lifestyle of the local Newar people of Kirtipur along with the rich cultural heritage it boasts. We drive back to Kathmandu. Spend our time to buy some locally produced handicrafts that make good memorabilia and gifts for our loved ones; we grab a few before we depart or just unwind and pamper ourselves. There will be a farewell dinner in the evening. We can pick our meal from carefully crafted menu that offers a wide range of choices. We can also try the traditional Nepalese cuisine. Overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 11: Departure

This is the last day of your visit. You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3hrs prior to the departure time. The memories that you have shared with us matter a lot.

  • 4 nights Twin sharing accommodation at Kathmandu on BB basis and 1 night each at Nagarkot, Dhulikhel & Balthali on MAP basis in 3-Star standard hotel or resort.

EXCLUSIONS:

  • Any kind of airfare: international or domestic airfare.
  • Meals other than mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Porter service fee.
  • Any items and services not mentioned in inclusions.
  • Nepal visa fees (US$ 30 Single Entry Visa valid for first 15 days payable in cash at immigration and requires a recent photograph).
  • Items of personal nature such as bar bills, alcoholic beverages, laundry, telephone calls, extra mileage, personal gratuities as tips to the staffs at hotel, guide, driver, porter etc.
  • Personal insurance policy – suggested a comprehensive travel insurance covering tour and flight cancellations, loss of valuables, thefts, illness, accidents and hospitalization.
  • Expenses incurred by re-routing, inclement weather, floods, famine, political disruptions, strikes, riots and other disturbances.
  • Emergency evacuation charges [ Helicopter rescue].
  • Photography charges in the monasteries and monument.

Terms & Conditions


Booking

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
  • 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

Refund

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.

We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

Passports & Visas

To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.

Health

Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
