MODERATE TREK: Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is one of the most awaited treks for many trekkers. This trail has been able to attract attention to the real Himalayan adventure seekers nationally and internationally. Best time to visit - September to May.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU [1345M]

Embarking on our journey begins from Kathmandu, the city with the remarkable architecture dated back to 16th Century. Our team representative will welcome you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. Our representative will help you to check in to the hotel. You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. The first arrival day is entirely a break day. In the evening, you can walk around nearby touristic hubs like Thamel and Basantapur Durbar square. Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu.

DAY 2: SIGHTSEEING IN KATHMANDU

Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal with a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Kathmandu has been one of the popular destinations for international tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers a wonderful mix of Hinduism and Buddhism. Right after having breakfast we are off to visit Kathmandu Durbar square & Swayambhunath Stupa. Free time after lunch for the trek preparation. Back to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 3: FLY TO POKHARA [900M] 4WD DRIVE TO KIMCHE & HIKE TO GHANDRUK [1,940]

Morning flight to Pokhara after breakfast at hotel from Kathmandu airport. 4WD drive will be followed after lunch at Pokhara. Drive to Kimche & trek up to Ghandruk for 1½ -2hrs. The trail offers the beautiful scenery of ethnic settlement of Gurungs and which is the vantage point to glimpse heavenly sight of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapauchhre, and Dhaulagiri. Overnight stay at a Tea house lodge.

DAY 4: GHANDRUK TO CHOMRONG [2,170M]

We march along the mountainous path of stone steps. We also pass through a hamlet and cross a suspension bridge and similarly a dense forest of bamboos as well. After walking up a little while a beautiful tea house welcomes us in Jhinu where we take some rest with drink & snacks. Trek resumes to the north, descending Daaulu and after five hours of walk we see a beautiful Chomrong village which is the best place to observe the prominent and mesmerizing view of Machhapuchhre. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.

DAY 5: CHOMRONG TO HIMALAYA HOTEL [2,920M]

We go downhill to the river called Chomrong and again uphill to Khudi-ghar. We trek all the day through dense bamboo forest and rhododendron bushes. The amazing mountainous landscapes along with the Annapurna Himalaya range take our breath away. After having a short break we continue walking all the way to the Himalaya Hotel. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.

DAY 6: A LEISURE DAY AT HIMALAYA HOTEL

After continuous trek for four days we spend our entire day taking a complete rest. Or we can go explore around Himalaya Hotel. From Himalaya hotel we can witness the amazing mountainous landscapes along with the numerous beautiful peaks as well. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.

DAY 7: HIMALAYA HOTEL TO MACHHAPUCHHRE BASE CAMP [3,700M]

After breakfast our day starts with climbing the route via Himalaya Hotel. On the way we can explore the Hinku cave and other beautiful mountainous landscapes. The trek continues to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp right after the lunch. We stay overnight at Machhapuchhre Base Camp from where we can have the closest glimpse of the Mount Machhapuchhre, Annapurna-I and Gangapurna. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.

DAY 8: TREK FOLLOWED TO ANNAPURNA SOUTH BASE CAMP AND TRANSFER BACK TO POKHARA BY HELICOPTER [4,130M]

We walk through a small ridge branching out from the mountain pass to mountain side with widespread terraced fields showcasing tranquil meadows and lush fertile farming lands. The vegetation becomes sparse en route to Annapurna Base Camp with trail wide opened when entering the Annapurna sanctuary. This is where the view of south face of Annapurna appears closed up with 360 ° panorama which makes the trek one of the scenic experiences. Other mesmerizing views of the Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt Annapurna south, Mt. Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other can also be observed. Chartered Heli will come to pick you up & transfer to Pokhara. Free time at lakeside Pokhara and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 9: DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU [1,345M]

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu. The entire day in the capital is free for shopping and relaxation. It is the time to get triumphant of our journey, therefore in the evening, farewell dinner will be organized at Nepali restaurant with cultural dance program. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE

This is the last day of your visit. You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3hrs prior to the departure time.

  • Kathmandu to Pokhara one-way flight (subject to change without prior notice).
  • Pokhara to Kimche 4WD transfer and Pokhara to Kathmandu surface A/C transportation.

    as per number of pax & Supplementary charge will applicable).
  • Twin sharing accommodation in BB basis: 3 nights at Kathmandu in Hotel Radisson or similar
    & 1 nights at Pokhara in Temple Tree or similar.
  • Twin sharing tourist standard Tea house accommodation during the trek on full board basis.
  • Professional English-speaking tour guide in Kathmandu & trekking guide during the trek.
  • All kind of Permits & entry fees as per itinerary: ACAP, TIMS & monument fees.
  • Porters on 2: 1 basis.

EXCLUSIONS:

  • Any kind of airfare: international or domestic airfare.
  • Meals other than mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Any items and services not mentioned in inclusions.
  • Items of personal nature such as bar bills, alcoholic beverages, laundry, telephone calls, extra
    mileage, personal gratuities as tips to the staffs at hotel, guide, driver, porter etc.
  • Personal insurance policy – suggested a comprehensive travel insurance covering tour and
    flight cancellations, loss of valuables, thefts, illness, accidents and hospitalization.
  • Expenses incurred by re-routing, inclement weather, floods, famine, political disruptions,
    strikes, riots and other disturbances.
  • Emergency evacuation charges [ Helicopter rescue].
  • Horse / Pony ride.
  • Photography charges in the monasteries and monument.

Terms & Conditions


Booking

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
  • 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

Refund

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.

We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

Passports & Visas

To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.

Health

Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
