Honeymoon tour package covers Kathmandu Valley and some of the best hill resorts of its rim. Kathmandu City comprises three medieval principalities- Kathmandu , Patan and Bhaktapur , each contending to another in every aspect; arts and architectures, temples and stupas , monasteries and monuments and so on. You will witness the ancient custom and tradition still being followed; lore and legends continuing and faith and smile abundant in people's face. Friendly and hospitable people will greet you by Namaste (a common Nepali greeting) as you pass by. Kathmandu Valley is the melting point of Hindu and Buddhist religions. You can notice a Buddha Image installed in the courtyard of a Hindu Temple or a Hindu Devotee paying homage to a Buddha shrine or spinning the Buddhist prayer wheels with a deep respect. Kathmandu Valley Rim offers some of the greatest hill resorts with spectacular Himalayan Panorama Views. Nagarkot , Dhulikhel , Godavari and Hattiban Hill Stations, all in easy access, are jewels to the crown of Kathmandu . In the environs are ancient villages like Bungamati and Kirtipur of Newari People. Newars are the natives of Kathmandu Valley . Newars are farmers, craftsmen and renowned merchants of Nepal . Interestingly the Newar Community is divided into two religions-Hindus and Buddhists but they speak one language and follow one culture.

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu City

Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by Everest nepal tours Representative and be transferred to your hotel. Check in hotel and take rest. If you feel like, you can take a short tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square -the old Royal Palace Complex where you will see a cluster of temples, including the Temple of Kumari -the Living Goddess of Nepal. In the evening, our representative will invite you for a dinner in a typical Nepali Restaurant with folk dance performances.

DAY 2: At Kathmandu

Today, you will explore the ancient and medieval Hindu Temples, Buddhist Stupas and monasteries, palaces, monuments and shrines, some of which are recognized by UNESCO as the World Heritage Site. In the morning, you will visit the Pashupatinath Temple-the holiest Hindu Temple of Nepal, situated on the bank of Sacred Bagmati River-one of the tributaries of the Ganges, the Boudhanath Stupa - the largest of this type and a must visit place in a life time for the Buddhists. In the afternoon, you will visit Budhanilkantha -the reclining Bishnu image in a small pool, also nick-named as the Sleeping Bishnu . This is a principal pilgrimage site to Bishnu Devotees. From here, you will visit the Swayambhunath Stupa the 2000 years old legendary Buddhist shrine, situated in a hillock, almost 80 m from the average level of Kathmandu . It has a wide view over Kathmandu . The tour of the day concludes here and you will drive back to Kathmandu .

DAY 3: Kathmandu- Bhaktapur Durbar Square-Nagarkot (6,666 ft)

Sightseeing of Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot After breakfast, you will check out the hotel and leave for Nagarkot . En route, 9 miles north east of Kathmandu lies Bhaktapur -the best preserved medieval Malla Principality where you can see the intricate wood and stone works in the temples, monasteries and houses of Bhaktapur . You will take a lunch break here and continue to Nagarkot . Check in the hotel. After refreshment, you would like to take a short walk tour around. Nagarkot offers the view of wide range of the Himalayas . The terraced farmlands on the sloping hills, green hills and the views of the river valleys are superb! Dinner in the resort.

DAY 4: Nagarkot-Dhulikhel

Sunrise view over the Himalayan Panorama, sightseeing of Changu Narayan Temple , Panauti Village and drive to Dhulikhel Early morning, the resort staff will wake you up so that you don't miss the beautiful sunrise view over the Himalayan Panorama. The Himalayas gleams when the golden rays of light kiss on their cheeks. After breakfast, you will pack up and proceed for Dhulikhel - the next destination. En route, you will visit the Changu Narayan Temple-dedicated to Lord Bishnu . Its built in the 4 th century and has an stone inscription which is the first recorded history of Nepal . Its one of the UNESCO recognized heritage sites of Nepal . Check in hotel and after refreshment, stroll around.

DAY 5: Dhulikhel-Patan-Godavari Village Resort

Sunrise view over the Himalayan Panorama, sightseeing of Patan and drive to Godavari Village Resort. Dhulikhel contends with Nagarkot for the views, landscape and its natural beauty. After breakfast, you will drive to Patan -one of the three medieval Malla Principalities. Patan is also nick-named as the City of Arts and Crafts . Here also, you will visit the medieval Palaces, temples and monasteries. As you stroll in the streets of Patan , you will witness the crafts men busy at their works-carving the wood, molding metal into different gods and goddess images and using their tiny tools to detail the themes on the stones. The Hitis , the public water taps are also the attraction of Patan where you can witness the public gathering for washing, bathing or fetching drinking water. From Patan , you will continue to Godavari for overnight stay. Check in the hotel and take a walk tour to the village and the Botanical Garden where you will get to see different plants, flowers and a good variety of birds.

DAY 6: Godavari -Bungamati-Hattiban

Sightseeing of Bungamati Village, Kirtipur and proceed to Hattiban .After breakfast in the resort, you will retrace the way to Ringroad and drive towards Bungamati , an ancient Newari Village where the lifestyle of people has remained unchanged yet. The temple of Matshyendranath is another attraction. One of our clients, who visited Bungamati for the first time in his 16 th visit to Nepal , commented that he saw True Nepal in Bungamati . From Bungamati , you will continue towards Hattiban - a forested ridge in the southern rim of Kathmandu .

DAY 7: Hattiban-Dakshinkali-Kathmandu.

Hattiban also offers the spectacular views of the Himalayas and Panorama. After breakfast, check out the hotel but you will visit the shrine of Dakshinkali before you head towards Kathmandu . Dakshinkali draws a great number of devotees and faithful every Saturday and Tuesdays, most of them with some animals to be sacrificed there. In return, the goddess Dakshinkali is believed to fulfill the wishes of her visitors. Drive back to Kathmandu (1.5 hrs) and take rest for the rest of the day.

DAY 8: Departure

Free morning. After breakfast, transfer to airport for your homebound flight.

Terms & Conditions


Booking

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
  • 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

Refund

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.

We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

Passports & Visas

To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.

Health

Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
