DAY 1: Arrival at Delhi

Arrive at Delhi Airport Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. You will be received at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands and & overnight stay at Hotel.

DAY 2: Explore Delhi

Full day sightseeing of Delhi

DAY 3: Delhi - Leh

Morning after an early breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to board flight to Leh. Arrive Leh and check-in at hotel. Today we will have an easy day as we must give our body time to acclimatize. Evening hike we will do a short hike to Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at Hotel.

DAY 4: Leh - Indus Valley - Stok

Morning after breakfast, we will take you on a guided tour of the Monasteries of the Indus Valley. Your excursion would include visits to,x Hemis (45 Kms. South of Leh) Built on a green hillside surrounded by spectacular mountains, Hemis is the biggest and the most important monastery in Ladakh. It was built in the 17th century by Chapgon Gyalshas and ever since has enjoyed the patronage of the royal family. This wealthiest monastery contains gold statues and stupas decorated with precious stones and many priceless old Thankas. Thiksey (25 Kms South of Leh) Thiksey one of the most imposing monasteries belonging to the 15th century, stands on a crag overlooking the flood plain on the east bank of the Indus. The monastery belongs to Elugpa order (Yellow sect) and is a 12- Storey Monastery painted deep red, ochre and white with typical tapering walls. There is a 15m high Buddha figure at the entrance of the new temple. The layout of the monastery complex resembles the Potala palace in Lhasa. Shey (15 Kms South of Leh) On the East bank of the Indus River beautiful Shey Monastery is here. Up to the 16th century it was the royal palace. There is a 17.5 m high blue haired Maitreya Buddha of copper, brass gilded and studded with precious gemstones. Later drive to Stok 14 kms. Overnight stay at Hotel.

DAY 5: Stok

Morning after breakfast take a gentle walk to explore the charming village of Stok. Visit the Stok Palace, which is home to the king and queen of Stok. The fascinating Museum exhibits old and unique Ladakhi artefacts. Later savour a delicious picnic lunch at a beautiful spot nearby. Later, return to the hotel and relax while enjoying great views of the Stok Kangri Range Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 6: Sto - Pangong Lake (Drive)

Morning after breakfast drive to Pangong Lake. Overnight stay at fixed Camp.

DAY 7: Pangong Lake

Morning after breakfast hike near around Pangong lake and scattered village nearby (Approx 10 Kms). Overnight stay at fixed Camp. Pangong Lake known as Pangong Tso is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas. Situated at a height of 4350 Meter, it’s a picturesque and serene place. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It is not part of Indus river basin area and geographically a separate landlocked river basin.

DAY 8: Pangong Lake - Tso moriri (Drive)

Morning after breakfast drive to Tso Moriri Lake. Evening hike around Tso Moriri Lake. Overnight stay at fixed Camp.

DAY 9: Tso Moriri

Morning after breakfast hike to Karjok Village and Hill Top Monastery. Enjoy the panorama of the surrounding and migrant bird watching mainly wild geese/ducks. Tso Moriri is Located in the Changthang area in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, This is the largest high altitude lake in the Trans-Himalayan region. The lake water is fed by springs and snowmelt from the mountains in the Changthang plateau. The two major sources of water entering into the lake are located in north and southwest respectively. Until 1959, the lake was the source of salt for the local populace. Located on the west bank of the lake, the 400-year-old Korzok monastery attracts a sizeable chunk of tourists and Buddhist pilgrims. Overnight stay at fixed Camp.

DAY 10: Tso Moriri - Leh (Drive)

Morning after breakfast trek to Tso Kar Lake (White Lake / Salt Lake) approx. 7 Kms. Later drive to Leh via Tang Lang La pass (5360 Mt.) Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 11: Leh - Likir (Drive)

Likir – Saspol (4250 M) Drive 10 Kms Morning after breakfast drive to Likir. On arrival take a leisurely walk through the picturesque village and visit the Likhir monastery. Situated at a height of 11,483 feet, this is one of the most interesting Yellow Hat monasteries in Ladakh. The monastery also has a school where approximately 40 monks study each year. The young monks and the teachers will be thrilled to have you over for a cup of tea before you leave. Later on drive to Saspol and enjoy a picnic lunch at Saspol, home to old and neglected, yet beautifully painted caves. From Saspol, we will hike to Alchi, enjoying beautiful mountain views en-route . Overnight stay at hotel / Guest house.

DAY 12: Alchi

Morning after breakfast, hike near around Alchi Village, visit some old temples and explore nearby places. Alchi is a fascinating monastery, which is the only one in Ladakh to be built on flat ground, unlike the others which were always on hilltops. The temple was founded in the 11th century and is particularly interesting for its Indian and Kashmiri influences. Overnight stay at hotel / Guest house.

DAY 13: Alchi - Lamayuru

Lamayuru - Leh Drive 109 Kms Morning after breakfast drive to Lamayuru to visit monastery and later drive to Leh . On arrival in Leh, you have free time to explore the Bazaar. It offers a plethora of colorful and interesting souvenirs which you can shop around for if you like. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 14: Leh - Delhi

In time transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi. On arrival drive to hotel, Check in at hotel near Airport at Delhi for fresh up.

DAY 15: Departure

In time transfer to Delhi International to board flight for onward destination.

• Expenses of personal nature like personal gratuities, telephone charges, laundry, spa activities, drinks etc.

• Any airfare – international or domestic

• Any other item not specifically mentioned above as 'INCLUDED'

Terms & Conditions


Booking

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
  • 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

Refund

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.

We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

Passports & Visas

To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.

Health

Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
